Duy Truong Photography posted a photo: Model: Megan Coffey Makeup: Becky Meza Clothing & Styling Megan, Celinda, and Duy (me) This was originally meant to be a poster/cover for Annalisa for the novel Indignation (by novelist Celinda Santilla), but this doesn’t really work – so i’m using it as an independent photo. If there’s any future book fans that finds this image and wants to associate it with Annalisa, GO AHEAD! After seeing this shot (and another shot like this) I was in awe of how Megan looks like Lady Gaga in the shots. Maybe not so much, maybe at a quick glance. (She’ll look like Gaga to people who have seen photos of Gaga in action, doing the same head spin and photos of her by Terry Richardson). Speaking of Terry, I like to imagine – after this shot – that I was totally channeling him, but I wasn’t. 1. I typically use flash if I desperately want to get stop action and the lighting wasn’t enough. 2. I use it for “modern”shots. I don’t use flash a lot, and I only use it if I want that very modern/party/NYC look. The people at the shoot besides Megan and me, Celinda (the author), Cynthia (the researcher) and Becky (makeup) have this inside joke about how this is for a shampoo commercial, like “L’Oreal – because you’re worth it.
